The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is now the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults

The OCIA ( Formerly RCIA) Is A Program For Adults 18 Years Or Older

RCIA SESSION

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA formerly RCIA) is primarily a process of Christian formation for adults seeking to become full members of the Roman Catholic Church. It is designed for non-baptized men and women, adults previously baptized into another Christian faith, and Catholics who did not complete all of their Sacraments of Initiation – Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. It is a gradual process during which enquirers can grow in faith and become full members of the Catholic Church (USCCB).

COMPLETION OF THE SACRAMENTS OF INITIATION
Easter Vigil – March 30, 2024

The Catechumens and the Candidates from the 2023-2024 OCIA Program were fully received into the Catholic Church by Rev. Eduardo Medina and Rev. Jose Pelagio Padit at the Easter Vigil on Saturday, March 30, 2024.

Let us as a worshipping community remain steadfast in our support, lifting them up in prayer as they navigate their newfound journey of faith.

Let us pray that they may be strengthened, guided, and filled with the Holy Spirit as they grow in their relationship with God and deepen their commitment to living out the Gospel. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of these newly received members into your Church. Bless them abundantly as they continue to grow in faith and live out their commitment to following Christ. Grant them strength, courage, and joy as they embark on their journey of discipleship. May they always remain steadfast in their love for you and for one another. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
